Northern Lights

Technique Time -- Northern lights is a favorite of mine and my friends.  It can be done so many different ways ... here is one rendition.

Mask bottom with painter's tape or post it note.  Using sponge or dauber use yellow (this one is crushed curry, we also used pineapple punch ink in class) and swoop up a couple of times).

Next, do the same with rich razzleberry.

Repeat again with granny apple green.

Sponge over everything with night of navy, darker on the outside edges leaving the middle slightly lighter. After sponging spritz lightly with a mixture of rubbing alcohol (or water) and champagne mist shimmer paint over the top.  It will give it a look of stars (see pic below for results).

Remove mask.

Add stamping (sentiments and images)
Experiment with different colors.  Bermuda bay works as one of the swishes.  The direction of the swishes can also be sideways for a different look.  Give it a try!
