Designer Paper Inset

Image
The Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper reminds me of Monet paintings.  Although not much is showing on this card,  it still makes a statement.  It is nicely paired with Blackberry Bliss and Gold foil.  The flower is made from the Floral Essence stamp set, embossed in gold on the blackberry bliss.  The Perennial Flower Punch makes easy work of creating the flower.  The sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set is also embossed in gold. Back on Your Feet

This set is one of those that just makes you smile, no matter the circumstance.  I recently sent the turtle card to a friend diagnosed with cancer, and hope she does indeed smile. These cards are one of the sets for Stamp-a-stack this month.  The Stampin' Blends make coloring a breeze. It's a little difficult to see in the picture, but the entire image is outlined in Light Pool Party Blend to give the image a little dimension. The little crumb cake rope border is from the Smooth Sailing Dies. Country Road Therapy

One of my friends brought her 28-year old son to the stamp-a-stack class the other night.  One of the reasons she brought him was because he was recently diagnosed with a stage 4 brain cancer and cardmaking provided some "therapy" in dexterity.  He did an excellent job on all 8 cards, in fact he finished before everyone else.  He was a bit shaky at times, but had no problems at all with any of the stamping or assembling of the cards. All of the participants in the class were amazed at how well he did.  What a blessing to know that I was able to provide this to my friend and her son.
