Pumpkin Friends

As Thanksgiving approaches, it's nice to send appreciation and thanks to your friends.  This card works perfectly for that.  The cinnamon cider background is the perfect backdrop.  The first layer is embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder.  The side panel is from the Blackberry Beauty specialty designer paper (which means there is shiny gold accents throughout one side of the paper).  The gold leaf on the bottom is from the Giving Gifts dies (there is a set of 5 leaves, and I used only one of them).  The Pretty Pumpkins bundle has the best pumpkin and sentiment.

Diamond Gate Fold Technique

Technique Time!  I'm calling this card a diamond gate fold card.  It opens like a gate fold, but has a diamond shape across the front, giving it an interesting look.

The dimensions are as follows:

Mossy Meadow:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2  Score only on 2-1/8 on 8-1/2 side.

Designer series paper:  4 x 5-1/2   Mark at 2" and 2-5/8" (half of each side)

Basic White:  4 x 5-1/4

Sepia Watercoloring Technique

 

Technique Time!  This is one of those special cards that are so stunning, people will think hours were spent on getting the look.  On the contrary, it was very simple and quick!

All that's needed is some soft suede ink, water painters or paint brush with water, a couple of stamp sets and a bit of imagination.
