Gift Box Gift Card Holder

 

Technique Time!  This cute gift card holder looks like a package that lifts out the gift card.  This is quite simple to make (I know, I say that all the time) ....

Here are a couple more samples.  This can be used for any occasion ... birthday, baby, wedding ...

Instead of a gift card, an origami currency works great too!

Framed Panel Card

 

Technique Time - Today's card is a framed panel card using strips of cardstock and/or paper to create a frame around the card.

Below is a video on how to create -- my apologies in advance -- this video contains the bloopers...title messed with intro to video, dog scratching in my carpet trying to make her bed, phone ringing, and way crooked card!  Then as I was reviewing the video I noticed one of the strips was crooked too!  But I think you'll easily learn the technique.

Pumpkin Thanks

This is one of our Stamp-a-Stack cards for this month.  The Gilded Autumn Designer series paper is so much prettier than what this picture shows.  The gold around the pumpkins is actually gold metallic and very striking.  For this card the pumpkins are stamped from the Harvest Hello stamp set on petal pink with versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  To color them Stampin' Blends worked wonderfully (Light & Dark Cajun Craze and Light Calypso Coral were used). They were then punched using the apple punch, and the stems were also punched using gold foil.

Corner Punch Flower Technique

 

Technique Time.  This is a technique that's been around for a while, but it's always good to bring some of these back.  This is called a corner round punched flower.  It's simply creating a flower from four small squares, and rounding two opposite corners, then placing them together with the points in the middle.  The Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper works very nicely for this.
