Brusho Emboss Resist

Technique time!  This was using Prussian Blue Brusho, which is retiring in a few days.  The Brusho makes such cool backgrounds.  For the technique ... On watercolor paper stamp the leafy images with versamark, sprinkle with white or clear embossing and heat with heat tool. Sprinkle the Brusho on top of the embossed images.  Spritz with water and watch the Brusho crystals come to life.  Let dry and decorate the card.

Double Diagonal Wedding

I'll really miss some of the beautiful designer paper that is retiring.  The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is one of those.  It's so elegant and feminine, perfect for a wedding card.  The melon mambo and powder pink are such a pretty combination.

To create, cut the designer paper diagonally (3-3/4" x 5" piece).  Rotate and cut the remaining diagonal corner to corner. Flip side panels to create the look and piece together.  Adhere top and bottom first, then sides.  Place strips over seams and trim corners.  Assemble and decorate.

Celebrate Graduation

It's that time of year already ... graduation.  One of my friends came over and needed a graduation card that night.  I got the idea off of Pinterest, and incorporated the colors she needed.  Blue and gold (actually my high school alma mater colors)...The girl in Beautiful You stamp set works perfectly (thankfully it is carrying over to the new 2019-20 catalog).  I colored in her sleeves and dress to make it look a little more like a graduation gown.  The tassel is a little big, but it worked in a rush.

Lovely as a Tree Farewell

Lovely as a Tree stamp set has been around for over 18 years.  That was one of the first stamp sets I purchased when I became a demonstrator over 11 years ago.  This timeless set will be gone forever at the end of this month.

It was enjoyable to go back and see some of the times I used this set.  They go back from 2010.  Make sure you get your Lovely as a Tree stamp set before it's too late!  Click here to order yours!

Sunray Technique

Today's card features the Sunray Technique.  One of my favorite retiring designer papers is the Garden Impressions 6x6 paper.  The paper worked perfectly for this technique.  Simply cut three 1-1/2" x 6" strips, then cut those strips diagonally (from corner to corner).  Place each triangle onto 3-3/4" x 5" blueberry bushel, starting at left corner (point on bottom left).  Continue with each triangle piece.  Trim edges after gluing them.
