Cool Color Combination

As I was playing around with some of the new in colors, I came up with this card. The colors are the new in colors: Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile, and Merry Merlot (not new). Interesting color combination, but I think it works well. People who have seen this card have asked me which designer paper is this? To create, randomly stamp the flowers and images from the Floral Essence stamp set, alternating colors. That's it! New designer paper.

Nautical W Fold

This card we made for our fancy fold in June technique club. The Sail Away Bundle worked perfectly for it. It looks more intricate and difficult than it really is. To create the inside of the card, adhere DSP as pictured. Stamp small white pieces. Adhere to small navy pieces. Fold 1” x 11” strip on score lines (2-3/4, 5-1/2, 8-1/4) to open like W. Adhere thread to right end. Adhere left side of strip, then right side to card. Center images to each section and adhere.

Bubble Wrap Background Technique

It's technique time! One of the technique's for this months club is bubble wrap. Super easy, super fun! Simply take a piece of bubble wrap (with small bubbles -- resist the urge to pop), take ink pad and directly onto bubble wrap. Lay cardstock onto it and gently rub. That's is! And now you have a cool background!

I love so many of the new products in this years catalog. The bird suite is one of my favorites. This past year I have developed a "bird obsession", so of course I had to get the bird stamp and coordinating paper. Looking forward to showing you more bird creations!

Woven Heirlooms Sympathy

I have really been enjoying playing with all my new catalog products. One of them is the Woven Heirlooms stamp set and Woven Threads designer series paper. Another simple but elegant card. The new Pretty Peacock in color card stock is so rich looking, especially paired with the crumb cake.
