Off Kilter Card Technique

Technique Time!  This card was an interesting card to create.  Below is the video for the instructions and card supplies and measurements.

Card Measurements:

Cajun Craze - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (folded in half), 3 x 6 (embossed in dainty diamonds)

Designer Paper - 1-3/4" x 5-1/4"

Pretty Peacock - 1-3/4" x 3", 3" x 3" (leaf)

Scrap white paper or cardstock (4" x 5-1/4")

Gold Foil - scraps for sprig punch

Very Vanilla - 1/2" x 2" (sentiment)

Same Design - Different Outcome

One design and colors, two different results.  I originally made the bottom card (could be Christmas as well), then needed an autumn card for class.  I basically just switched out the tree for a leaf.  The plaid paper provides the perfect backdrop for this design.

Sunflower Thank You

Today's card is featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  The sunflower is stamped in versamark and embossed with black embossing powder.  I found that if I used the Stampin' Blends to color, it smeared the black, so I tried using the Stampin' Markers.  They worked like a charm!  I was actually surprised how vibrant the colors showed up on the Sahara Sand card stock.  I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie markers for the flower, and soft suede in the center.

Versatile Forever Gold Specialty Paper

 

The Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper is so versatile and makes cards simple and elegant.  This layout is pretty similar for both cards, yet one is Christmas and one is sympathy.  The possibilities are endless.  The package contains precut card fronts and greenery accents. One side is white; the other side is gold foil.
