Petal Palette Congrats

Today is my 33rd Wedding Anniversary.  We were so young back then.  My husband now has Alzheimer's and really doesn't have a clue, so I thought I would share my day with all of you with this card.  It's one of those that is so much prettier in real life.

These colors are so soft ... Powder Pink, Black, and Whisper White.  I first stamped all the flowers from the Petal Palette stamp set with black Memento ink, because I knew I was going to be using the Stampin' Blends to color everything.  If I were to use the Black Archival ink, the colors would smear.  To get the shading I first colored entire flowers with light pink pirouette, next I shaded with dark pink pirouette, and then used light calypso coral for even more shading.  The leaves were colored with the light and dark of old olive.  The sentiment from the same stamp set is embossed with white ink and embossing powder on black card stock.

Thanks for being here today.

Awesome Epic Celebrations

One of my granddaughters needed a birthday card for her friend, and she got to choose from each of these cards.  She chose the rich razzleberry card (it was for a girl).

The Epic Celebrations set is one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets and is great for a teen card.  It's whimsical, yet not cutesy.  The guitar and shoes were stamped in Memento black ink then blended with the Stampin' Blends.  Love the way these turned out.

Reminder ... During Sale-a-Bration, you can earn free products just for placing a qualifying order! Get one free gift for every $50 that you order -- or choose a Level 2 gift with a $100 order.

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop January 2018

Thank you for joining us on our Alaskan Achiever’s Blog Hop!  Those hopping today are Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all around the world who have achieved the prestigious Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip that only a limited number around the world achieve.

Our assignment was to use any of the products from the new Occasions or Sale-a-bration catalogs.  I chose a combination of the Apron of Love stamp set and the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.

Some people struggle to make masculine cards.  I actually enjoyed making these.  The True Gentlemen designers series paper made it easy!

My first card features a plaid apron from the designer paper screams which screams masculine!  I just love the little silver utensils in the dies in this Apron of Love bundle.

The next card has little different look.  The night of navy apron is "stitched" using a white colored pencil.  To switch it up a bit, yet keep the masculine theme I was going for, I used silver embossed tools and sentiment from the Guy Greetings stamp set.

For my final card, I emphasized the True Gentlemen designer series paper and the Tailored Tag Punch.  Linen thread is wrapped three times around the center of the card and accented with a wood button. The sentiments do come from the Apron of Love set.

Painted with Love Valentine.

A little goes a long way with the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This elegant paper helped me determine the colors of this simple card...Melon Mambo, Peekaboo Peach, White, and gold.  The Sweet and Sassy heart framlits are an easy way to add dimension and tie it all together. The sentiment is from Vertical Greetings.
