Mojo Christmas 105

Ahhhh, back to challenges. I haven't been able to work on much lately, so this was fun.

The tree is part of the hostess level 1 set from the mini catalog called Patterned Pines. The snowflakes, embossed with iridescent ice, from the snow swirled stamp set. The sentiment is from my fav ... Teeny Tiny Wishes. The Holiday Lounge designer paper was my inspiration for the design and the colors (kraft, really red, and taken with teal.)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day.

Still Branching Out

I needed another card for my card ministry last night, but I ran out of paper for the original card I wanted to make, so this is what I came up with. It was an inspiration challenge as well (FS137). It's very simple, but very elegant. The Branch Out stamp set is on the dormant list, but it worked perfectly for this card. The sentiment is a Verve stamp. Card stock is soft suede, bermuda bay, and sahara sand. The designer paper is thoroughly modern.

Autumn Box

Just a cute little box I made and gave to my class as "homework". I cut everything and gave it to them to see what they come up with. I'm sure most will look like my sample, but I'm hoping some go "outside the box".

Have a great day.

Ornament Vase

I used the ornament punch from the mini catalog as the vase. Then I stamped the flower with Gifts of Christmas. I just "had" to use my Teeny Tiny Wishes again. That is the best set, a real must have staple. The colors are rich razzleberry, orchid opulence, old olive, and whisper white, as well as cottage wall designer paper. I used the texture plate to give the vase some dimension, then sponged it.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day.

Lattice Anniversary

I wanted to try out my new lattice Bigz die, and someone in my girls night out group needed an anniversary card, so this is what I came up with. The cardstock is basic black, with the side in Night & Day DP from the mini catalog. The lattice is also done in black. I put it through the Xyron to adhere it to the Bride Specialty paper. The white is backed with Tempting Turquoise.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Christ is Born

I love this set. Christ is Born. This card is a total CASE (sorry I was in a hurry when I copied the picture, so I don't have the name).

The details are -- cardstock base is basic black, layered with metallic gold, then really red, embossed with the poinsettia in a red glitter (not SU). Next layer is metallic gold and really red embossed in gold metallic, embellished with gold cord which can be found in the mini.

Dasher

Only a few cards left to show of the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. This one uses the stamp called Dasher. A single stamp that is available which can be found on the last page of the Idea Catalog. I stamped the dasher stamp with Chocolate Chip craft ink and clear embossed it. Then I spread the white frost shimmer paint (found in the mini on page 27) with a cotton square over the image. It is really striking in real life. The cardstock I used is riding hood red, but ruby red would work well, too. The chocolate chip has silver snowflakes stamped using a stamp in the Snow Swirled set. The white behind the red image is actually white shimmer paper, which keeps the shimmer thing going. The sentiment is from my favorite -- Teeny Tiny Wishes, also embossed. The striped paper comes from the Cocoa Christmas DP in the mini.

Teal Ornament

This is the second card for stamp-a-stack. I used my movers and shapers ornament die in the holiday mini catalog. Then I used contact paper on the back of the opening and added glitter to the front. It gives a nice transparent look, although it doesn't really show through on the photo. I then used one of the ornaments from the stamp set Delightful Decorations on the inside to show through. I used Holiday Lounge designer paper on the bottom, and the satin/organza ribbon.

Country Christmas

This is one of the cards we made in our stack-a-stamp. It's really not country, but it has that "homey" feel. The tree is from Season of Joy and the sentiment is from one of the new stamp sets in the holiday mini catalog called Four the Holidays. The ribbon is also from the mini called Sleigh Bells.
The tree is embossed with craft always artichoke and clear EP. The cardstock is an old paper that I found (not sure of the color name). The top note piece is out of kraft cardstock sponged with always artichoke.

Have a great day.

Autumn Shutter Card

Another shutter card for autumn. I love the new papers in the holiday mini catalog. This paper is called Autumn Meadows. The cardstock colors are chocolate chip, really rust, and very vanilla.
The leaves on the front and back are from the stamp sets Autumn Days and Autumn Splendor (mini). They are stamped in versamark and embossed with clear. Then the paper is spritzed with a mixture of really rust and rubbing alcohol and tempting turquoise and rubbing alcohol. They are placed inside of newsprint and ironed.
The pheasant on the inside is colored with marker (which is also from the Autumn Days stamp set).
The leaves inside use the leaves #2 Bigz Die, and the sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers set.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Mojo Delight

I just love the way this card turned out. It's a Mojo Monday challenge as well as a color challenge. The colors are elegant eggplant, basic black and old olive. I used one of the new designer papers from the new mini called Night and Day specialty. The flower is called Bella's Bloom and the sentiment is a Verve stamp. I also used the embossing folder called finial press.

Sweet Treat Hot Air Balloon

This was a fun little card to make using the Sweet Centers stamp set along with the sweet treat cups in the mini catalog. I love the color of these M&Ms inside the cup. That determined what colors I was using for this card (which is a CASE from dostamping).

The cardstock is green galore, lavender lace, black, only orange. The Happy Birthday is from the dormant list called Birthday Wishes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Fall Sympathy

I wanted to try this technique, I don't remember what it's called -- stamping the images (from Autumn Splendor in the new mini) with Versamark, embossing them with clear embossing powder, then using mini misting bottles and squirting the cardstock with 3 different colors made with a mixture of 90% rubbing alcohol and 10 drops of reinkers (crushed curry, dusty durango, bermuda bay). Cover the image with newsprint (the kind that does not have any printing on), and iron it with a hot iron (the little craft iron does not work well at all!). I also wanted to make the card as flat as possible, so instead of using metal brads, I embossed some woodgrain paper from the Autumn Meadows designer paper, and punched it out with the 1/4" punch and glue dotted them to the corners.

Give Thanks

I was working on a few fall projects, and this one was part of a challenge, reverse masking. I brayered more mustard over a circle mask, then sponged with really rust and bravo burgundy. As with most of my projects that are not sketch challenges, it's totally different than what I planned. I still like it though. I used some of the new paper called Autumn Meadows -- yes, it's finally available in the new mini catalog. Check it out.
