Sanded Embossed Image

Technique Time!  Today's technique is called Sanded Embossed Image.  Using a blending brush or sponge cover an entire piece of very vanilla cardstock (or use basic white) with ink.  After totally inked  run it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine using an embossing folder, and sand over the entire piece with a fine grit sanding block.

I discovered, however, that in order to get the white see through image, it was necessary to ink the piece prior to embossing, rather than embossing first.  Here is a comparison.

The image on the left was embossed first then covered with ink, and it could not be sanded.  The image on the right was covered in ink first, then embossed, then sanded.

The video walks you through the technique and also shows a debossing technique for the flowers.
