Fancy Fold - Inside Pop Up Message

 

Technique Time!  As the card is opened, the message is a nice surprise, using a 4 x 6 piece of designer paper as the center for the pop up message.

Basic White    4-1/4 x 5-1/2,  (2)    2-3/4 x 3-3/4, (daisies)    3 x 4-1/4, 1-1/2 x 2

Blackout Embossing Technique

 

Technique Time -- This blackout embossing reminds me of the old painting on black velvet materials that have been seen on roadside stands.   A simple technique using a 3D embossing folder, ink and blending brushes or sponge daubers.

Technique Time.  This collar fold is a simple, been around awhile, technique, and is a good use of our beautiful designer series paper.

Mirror Embossing Technique

 

Technique Time -- today's technique I'm calling Mirror Embossing.  Basically it's running two sheets of card stock through the embossing machine at once and inking up the entire inside of the embossing folder two different ways ... the smooth side using the ink pad directly to the smooth side (logo side) of the embossing folder, and the other side is inked with a brayer.

The mirror technique is explained as well as a few inking comparisons for which techniques worked best for me.  Also included is a tip on stamping flowers onto the stems more accurately.
