Composition Leaves

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Have you ever made a card, and liked the layout, but wanted to change it up a bit?  Well, that's what I did on this one.  Here is my original card .  Using the Natural Composition Specialty Paper, I used the Autumn Accents Bigz Die to cut out the leaves, then sponged them with cajun craze, raspberry ripple, more mustard, and old olive.  The design of the composition paper comes through ... sort of like emboss resist.  I also changed it up a bit using the Lacy Brocade Textured embossing folder, and instead of tying a knot in the ribbon, I used the Designer Ribbon Slide. Thanks for stopping by!  And don't forget, just ONE more day for the free ribbon special. With 5 colors to choose from, you'll want it all!! Orders of $40 or more can choose one color Orders of $200 or more can choose all 5 colors.  Choose from the following 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon Colors 126848  Gumball Green 126847  Midnight Muse 126844  Primrose Petals 1

Apple Thank You Notes

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is the thank you 3 x 3 card that was included in all my September orders (it is a CASE).   I love the way these turned out.  They are crumb cake or cajun craze, along with the early espresso Core’dinations Card Stock, embossed in the Woodgrain textured embossing folder, then sanded with the Stampin’ Sanding System.  The Perfectly Preserved apple is stamped in Cajun Craze and cut out using the Cannery Set Framelit.  The ribbon is the Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon stapled onto a crumb cake tag, faux stitched with an early espresso marker. Speaking of 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon ... Don't forget to get some FREE Ribbon?  This month's free ribbon special is ending in just in just a few days. With 5 colors to choose from, you'll want it all!! Orders of $40 or more can choose one color Orders of $200 or more can choose all 5 colors.  Choose from the following 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon Colors 126848  Gumball

Candy Corn Anniversary

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Isn't this a fun card!  It's a CASE (sorry, can't remember where I saw it).  My son's anniversary is coming up soon, and this will be a perfect card. The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Black, Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  The candy corn are made using 1/2" strips of daffodil delight and pumpkin pie, placed on a 1" wide piece of whisper white, then punched using the pendant punch.  The googly eyes just add character, don't you think?  The striped satin ribbon finishes it off. Fall Lollie

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Wow!  What another hectic week.  I had classes at the beginning of the week, then I volunteered three nights this week at our Feed My Starving Children packing event at church.  We packed over 300,000 meals in 4 days.  So, hopefully next week will be better. Last weekend when I was in Minnesota, we were able to "play" in our hotel room.  This is the project we came up with.  I guess I'm hooked on "lollies" lately.  The size of this is about 8".  The leaves are cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die, then embossed using the spiderweb embossing folder, and sponged.  The cherry cobbler 3-1/2" tulle makes and excellent bow.  We added a little sparkle with a couple of the leaves punched in Champagne glitter paper. Crayon Resist

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Gee, it's been a while since I last posted.  I'm enjoying a few days in Minnesota with some friends at Scrapfast.  Getting lots of great ideas. Today's card is the last of the three Technique cards done in class.  It's called crayon resist.  This card is one of those that's so much prettier in real life.  The colors are Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Old Olive, Glossy White, and Black.  The stamp set is French Foliage.  The leaves are die cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die, then embossed using the Spider Web embossing folder, and sponged.  A very simple card (yes, really it is!). Pillow Romance

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is the second of three cards we made in my technique class.  The Pillow Background is the technique.  It actually looks puffy, but it's just flat.  The colors are Marina Mist, Whisper White, Bashful Blue.  The stamp sets are Bordering on Romance and Curly Cute.  The Delicate Doilies die was used for the circle background. Just For You Herringbone

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is one of the three cards that we made in our Technique Club.  The technique is called Herringbone.  It's a great way to use up small strips of paper.  The colors are Early Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Limeade, and the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper.  The stamp set is the Perfectly Preserved, and the images were cut out using the coordinating Cannery Set Framelits. To find out how you could join the Technique Club, feel free to email me and I'll get back to you either by phone call or email if you prefer. To place your Stampin' Up! Supply order click here .

Blue Ribbon Birthday

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  We had another birthday to celebrate at our house.  My granddaughter turned 9, and I made her a rosette pin, which she also wore to school.  The colors are pacific point and melon mambo.  The stamp set is Blue Ribbon -- perfect for making these pins. Beer Themed Birthday

Image
Okay, here's the last about my husband's birthday ... I was so pleased with everything, just had to share.  My husband likes his beer, and I had a surprise party for him.  I asked the guests to bring ONE beer, of course everyone didn't stop with one beer.  He's got enough beer to last him for a while, but he's not complaining.  Everyone was given black armbands as they arrived, and he said it was the BEST birthday party he's ever had. The beer card I made him turned out pretty slick (it's a CASE, but not sure who the original creator was), and the large pin was made using the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die.  Gee, it worked so neat ... I've had it for a while, but never really used it.  Then I stamped the center with the Blue Ribbon stamp set and punched it out with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch, and for the center I printed the "70" on my computer and punched it out with the 1-1/4" punch. The cupcakes were my yummy Guinnes
