Gift Card Holder

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today is my husband's birthday, so what better way to say Happy Birthday than with a gift card holder (yep the gift is me inside LOL).  I learned how to make this in Stamping School.  The colors are Basic Gray, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, and Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  I've already gone through an entire pack of this paper already....and none of it Halloween.  The ribbon is the 1/2" striped satin ribbon.  The stamp set is Happy Hour.

Downline Challenge

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's card features one of my downline, Jean Fleischer.  She asked to give her a sketch challenge, and here is the result.  She did an excellent job!  The ornament looks like velvet.  The colors are Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White, with the pattern from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack found in the Holiday Catalog (page 20).  The ribbon is the Cherry Cobbler seam binding....and it includes the perfect bow (something so many people tend to struggle with).

Formal Wedding

Hi Stamping Friends.  I don't do Halloween, but I love the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper ... the colors are nice and bold, and there are no skulls or spiders on any of it!

This wedding card was made with the designer paper, along with going gray, black, brushed silver, and cherry cobbler.  This is another one of those that are much prettier in real life.  The stamp set is from Embellished Events.  The large heart is made using the Hearts Collections Framelits.

Butterfly Thank You Jar

Hi Stamping Friends.  This cute card we will be making at a "private session" with a friend for a charity event.  We'll be making a total of 50 cards, 5 designs - 10 cards each.  We're going to be pretty busy!  So I had to keep things as simple as possible.  This should go fairly quick.  There's only one big shot item on the card (the cap on top of the jar).

The colors are crumb cake, island indigo, and very vanilla.  The designer paper is the Orchard Harvest Designer paper found in the Holiday Catalog.  I actually used two stamp sets.  The Perfectly Preserverd (jar), and the circle and butterflies are from the set A Fitting Occasion (a very versatile set).

Seven Decades

Front cover of my husband's photo book
Hi Stamping Friends.  Whew ... I just completed a huge project that I've been working on for several months ... a photo book for my husband's upcoming 70th birthday designed in My Digital Studio (MDS).  The most difficult part was scanning and compiling all the pictures.  Seventy years is a lot of pictures to compile LOL.  It's sort of funny, because I constantly teach my scrapbookers to not worry about the pictures being in chronological order (I should practice what I preach), which probably made this project take longer as well.  I just sent it out to the Stampin' Up! printer (at 31% off during the month of August -- see left sidebar for the promotion).

Each year I make an 8" x 8" photo book for each of my 4 grandkids.  Of course I leave it go until a few weeks before I need them, but I want the pictures to be as current of year that I can get to fill their books.  Then I send them to the Stampin' Up! printer and watch their eyes light up as they open their gifts and peruse the pictures.

If you've never tried MDS, but would like to give it a whirl, simply download the free trial for 30 days.  It's the perfect tool for photo books, calendars, stationary, and all kinds of graphics.  I even create my blog graphics using MDS.

Clockworks and Christmas

Colors - Naturals Ivory, Midnight Muse, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso.  Stamp set Clockworks

Colors - Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake - Stamp set Watercolor Winter
Hi Stamping Friends.  I just returned from a few days of much needed vacation.  Just a trip "up north", but it was wonderful.  No swimsuit required (love that kind of weather) ...

Today's cards are a CASE from Dawn Olchefske.  Her original card did not include any of the colored card stock, only the naturals ivory.  But, I'm a "layer" girl, so I had to add more to it.

I mostly wanted to feature the same layout using two different stamp sets and occasions.

Wonderful You

Hi Stamping Friends.  Tonight is my Girl's Night Out class.  Can't wait!  It's just such a fun group of ladies.  This is one of the cards we'll be making.  The idea came from my demonstrator brainstorming group, and the colors are Primrose Petals and Whisper White.  The Fancy Fan embossing folder was used for the background and the shapes are cut using the Labels Collection Framelits.  The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts set.  The flowers are embellished with just a little dazzling details.

If you are interested in getting a group of ladies (minimum 5) for a Girl's Night Out class and are in the Milwaukee/Metro area, let me know, and we can set something up.  Your house or mine ...

Cheery Mixed Bunch

Hi Stamping Friends.  Just a quick, cheery card for today using Mixed Bunch stamp set and the coordinating blossom punch.  The colors are daffodil delight, early espresso and whisper white.  We made this card at one of our demonstrator brainstorming sessions (I'm an adoptee for another demonstrator group).

Being a demonstrator has so many rewards, whether as a hobbyist or as a business.  The biggest reward I have gotten so far is the friendships that have come out of my stamping business, both with fellow demonstrators and with customers.  There ARE other rewards, great discounts, opportunities to grow a business, trips (haven't won one yet, but it is my goal to win one this year!), learning new techniques and being able to share them with others.  People think I'm so talented (that's what they say ... ) but I know better.  I'm just a great copier.  And if you need a little help (mojo starter), I'm right there every step of the way.  For only $99, you can choose your kit (valued at $190 worth of supplies).  If you would like to join my team, click here, or email with your details and we can discuss via email or over the phone.

Joyous Celebrations

Hi Stamping Friends.  I know it's really early for Christmas, but these are the cards I've been working on as I prepare for my 12th Day of Christmas event for Sunday.  These cards are CASED from the Holiday Catalog.  The bottom one is almost an exact CASE, and the top one I changed up a bit.

The colors for the top are Midnight Muse, Brushed Gold and Whisper White.  The bottom one is Gumball Green, Real Red, and Whisper White.  The texture is made using the Holiday Frame embossing folder.  The stamp set is Joyous Celebrations.  Such a simple card, but so pretty.

If you are interested in joining my 12th Day of Christmas "club", email me so I can reserve a spot for you or give you more details.  This Sunday I'll be holding an Open Studio from 1:30-5:30 to make the cards.  If interested, please RSVP so I have enough cards cut out.

Hi Stamping Friends.  Here is another card using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set.  I just really love this set!  The colors are Island Indigo, Early Espresso Core’dinations Card Stock (embossed using the woodgrain embossing folder and lightly sanded with the new sanding block), Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple and Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper.

Preserved Thanks

Elegant Butterfly Punch -- Item #127526
Hi Stamping Friends.  The stamp set, Perfectly Preserved was not one of my favorite sets when I first saw it in the Holiday Catalog.  I thought, "really? ... kind of lame".  But, I'll get it and see what I can come up with.  Now, it's one of my favorite sets!  This is just one card I've made with the set (made 3 so far ...).  I wanted to put a "non-country" spin on it, and this is the result.  The colors are Wisteria Wonder, Early Espresso and Whisper White.  The butterfly was first stamped with Papillon Potpourri, then punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I created a small slit on each side of the jar top and wound the bakers twine around and tied in a bow.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.

Masking Forever Young

Hi Stamping Friends.  We had such a great time during our Technique Club!  There was a request to do masking, and this is what we did.  I love the way the colors pop...gumball green, bashful blue and daffodil delight are such a pretty and bright combination.  They learned how to reverse mask using one of the new framelits from the new holiday catalog called Window Frames Collection, and also learned how to make clouds from a scallop punch mask.  The stamp set is Forever Young.  The gumball green layer on the bottom is embossed using the argyle embossing folder.

If you would like to join the Technique Club, feel free to email me for more details.

Hi Stamping Friends.  I'm so excited!!!  The Holiday Mini is now available for you to view.  I will post more later, but for those who didn't get their hard copy, here is the electronic version.
