Made to Last Birthday

We had a workshop for 9 and 10 year old girls.  This is one of two cards that we made.  The girls did a great job and they were very proud of their work.  To find out how you can host a girls workshop, feel free to email me.

For this card I used brocade blue, melon mambo, and the Good Neighbors Sale-A-Bration paper.  The balloons are punched from non SU punches, then glittered.

Bella's Bloom

Years ago, stripes and polka dots would never go together, but with the beautiful papers in the Sweet Pea designer pack, they go together perfectly!  The colors are old olive and regal rose.  The flower is made by punching out five scallop circlest, and securing them with a brad, then crunching them together to get the look of the flower.  The sentiments are from Bella's Bloom and the Sale-a-bration set Whimsical Words.

With All My Heart Thanks

Since I had a bad case of "card creators block", I CASED this card from a fellow demonstrator.  I love the bright spring colors of pretty in pink and sage shadow.   All the the ingredients (except the cardstock) are from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The stamp set is With All My Heart and the pink houndstooth is from the Sweet Pea Designer Pack.  The punches are the Extra Large Two-Step Bird (leaves) and the Extra large Fancy Flower.  The pretty in pink satin ribbon adds a little shimmer, topped off with a rhinestone brad.

Chocolate Bunny

For those chocolate lovers, here is a chocolate bunny.  It looks good enough to eat, but it's just chocolate chip cardstock, stamped with chocolate chip craft ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I guess with all the chocolate in the recipe, it could be eaten!

The rest of the card is made with bermuda bay, dusty durango, and kraft cardstock.  The designer paper and the scallop border punch came from the FREE sale-a-bration items.

Milk Carton Birdhouse

This bird house is actually made from this milk carton die found in the mini catalog.  The FREE stuff that I used came from the sale-a-bration catalog ... the roof paper, the trim paper on the sides, and the trim border along the roof.
The two-step bird punch is the perfect size for this little bird house.  It is closed with a library clip.  The roof can be easily removed so the container can be filled with some sweet treats and used as a table decoration or gift.

Rag Scallop Bag

Cute bag, isn't it?  So what does a fabric bag have to do with Stampin' Up!?  Each square was cut out using the large scallop square Bigz die and the Big Shot.  The flower, which doesn't show up too well, was also cut using the Big Shot and the Flower Folds Bigz Die.  It was amazing how easily the fabric cut through the die ... it cut eight layers at once!

The little black purse organizer is cool product that I'm showcasing today.  It's another product line that I represent called Miche Bags.  This organizer fits perfectly in the bag.
Order your Big Shot and dies today, and get THREE FREE gifts from the Sale-A-Bration catalog AND get the level 1 hostess gifts (one stamp set and $15 additional FREE product).  Place a minimum $50 order through me to enter a drawing to get your FREE rag scallop bag.

Mom & Me

Here are a couple of Valentine projects that we did at a mom & me event.  The children's ages were between 5 and 10.  The mom's and the children made the projects.  They all did a great job!

The hanging heart uses one page from the On Board books.  They are 6" wide, much larger than they look in the mini catalog.  We covered them in really red cardstock.  We used pink post it notes which were put through the hearts and brackets Bigz die, then run through the Big Shot.  Then we punched out hearts from the heart to heart punch and the small heart punch.  They were all glued on and hung with a striped ribbon.  One hole was already there from the book, and the other hole was punched using the crop-a-dile.  Went through the chipboard like butter!

The next project was a 3 x 3 card using the sweet treat cups.  The heart candy filled the cup just perfectly.

Stamps:  Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370), With All My Heart (118623)
Paper:  Real Red, Sending Love Specialty (117153)
Ink:  Black, Real Red
Punches:  Full Heart (113693), Heart to Heart (113694), Small Heart (117193), Stampin' Up! Hearts & Brackets (115955)
Extras:  Real Red 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (110714), Crop-a-dile (108362)

Birthday Razz

When I first saw the two-step bird, I thought I didn't like it.  But it has grown on me.  This quick and easy card uses Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, and Razzleberry Lemonade paper.  I was thrilled because it was so easy to line up the Vintage Vogue border around the very vanilla because I used the clear mount set.  The scallop border along the bottom came from my FREE sale-a-bration set.

Have you placed your order to get your FREE sale-a-bration item?  Click here if you would like to place your order today ... or email me and find out what extra item you can get for placing your $50 order.

Wandering Words

Although this stamp is from the previous Holiday Mini Catalog, I used it anyway.  However, the paper is from the current Sale-A-Bration catalog which is FREE if you order $50 worth of Stampin' Up! product.  The heart is double-layered, the black is put through the big shot using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslits die, then the top layer heart is punched from the large heart punch, then run through the same embosslit to give it the texture.

I {Heart} Hearts

Here is an elegant card using the slit punch circle border technique.  Click here to view the video for the technique.  On this card I used melon mambo and black.  It's very rich looking and could be a masculine card as well.

  • The groom designer paper adds the shimmer.  The hearts are stamped using the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set, embossed with black embossing powder.  I tried stamping with black then embossing with clear EP, but it didn't come out as rich, so I stamped in Versamark, then embossed with black EP, and it was much darker.
  • Black satin ribbon continues to add to the richness of the look.
  • Using the Heart to Heart punch for a group of the hearts saves time when cutting out the hearts.

Stamps:  I {Heart} Hearts (118571), With All My Heart (118623)
Paper:  Melon Mambo (115320), Basic Black (102851), Groom Specialty Designer Paper (116478), Whisper White (100730)
Punches:  Heart to Heart (113694), Small Heart (117193), Word Window (105090)
Final Touches:  Versamark (102283), Black Embossing Powder (109133), Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon (117285).
