Scrap Ribbon Flower

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is a CASE from Dawn Griffith.  We'll be doing this technique in our Technique Club tomorrow night.  It is one of those fast and easy techniques that looks like you've spent a long time doing it.  It's called scrap ribbon technique (very technical).  Basically, it's just ribbon scraps laid underneath a punched image. If you are interested in becoming a part of the technique club, email me . Come back tomorrow ... the new Holiday Catalog will be available!!!  Can't wait to show you.

Mixed Thanks

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is one of those cards that looks so difficult, but it's really easy.  It's a CASE from fellow demonstrator Dawn Olenchik.  The stamp set is Mixed Bunch, in Riding Hood Red and River Rock on Very Vanilla.  The ribbon is retired, but don't want to "waste" those "old" supplies. To place your Stampin' Up! supply order, click here or email me .

Downline Mojo

Image
Nicole Simon Jean Fleischer Hi Stamping Friends.  Tonight I had my downline meeting, and only a couple ladies were able to make it.  So we made a couple of cards, then I issued a challenge to the ones who decided to stay a little longer.  I printed out the Mojo Monday challenge and they were allowed to use whatever supplies I had.  They both decided to make Christmas cards since I had the newest papers and dies from the upcoming Holiday Catalog available August 1st.  They did a great job! If you would be interested in becoming a demonstrator (hobbyist or as a business), sign up here , or contact me to discuss.  I'd love to have you on my team.

Scentsational Season 411

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Today I decided to head over to the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch challenge.  It's a pretty cool site, especially for beginners (and experienced stampers too).    I am so excited that I've received my pre-order for the new Holiday Catalog which begins August 1st.  The designer paper found in the catalog was my inspiration for colors ... bashful blue, real red, and very vanilla.  The red border is made using the finishing touches edgelits, and the circles are made using the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits.  The stamp set is a new set called Scentsational Season with coordinating framelits (yeah no cutting by hand).  The ribbon is the 1/4" stitched red grosgrain ribbon. A little fun side note -- the cup has a cute snowflake on the front, so I decided to cover it up, so it wouldn't necessarily be a winter/Christmas card.  As I'm showing the card to my husband (a typically good critic) the first thing he said was, "hot chocolate on a Chris

Reason to Smile

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  This is a card we made at a recent Demonstrator brainstorming session that I was at.  I showcases the set Reason to Smile, which is available only in July for $5 (with a $50 minimum order).  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Black, and Calypso Coral.  The new butterfly punch has such a nice shape to it, and it just added enough embellishment to to card to make it pop. Butterfly Punch (Item #127526) Reason to Smile Stamp Set (Item #131273 Wood, #131275 Clear Mount)   Available for $5 only with a $50 order. Postage Due

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Here is another one of those stamp sets that I was thinking of not getting ... but I'm so glad I did.  I love the colors of this card, and the way it turned out.  The stamp set is called Postage Due.  The colors are summer starfruit, black and very vanilla.  The image was stamped in black Stazon, then sponged in gumball green and summer starfruit.  I colored in the flower in pink pirouette, and the parts of the bike in baja breeze.  The postage stamps are stamped in black and colored, then punched out using the postage stamp punch.  A little summer starfruit and black ribbon were added to the side, and here's a pretty card! Postage Due -- Item 126395 (wood), 126397 (clear mount) To place your Stampin' Up! supply order, click here or email me .

Friday Mojo Monday

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  Today is Friday!  Time for Mojo Monday LOL.  Okay, so I'm a little behind.  I actually made the card on Monday, but never got around to posting until today. I've been pretty busy making Christmas cards (been odd making Christmas cards so early).  I started a "Christmas Club" that's called the 12th Day of Christmas.  On the 12th of each month through December we will meet and make 8 cards (4 designs).  It's not necessary to attend each class, but there are rewards for those that do attend all the classes....they will receive the class in December FREE, and they will end up with 48 Christmas cards (plus I have been giving free cards from my "stash"). This card (not chosen for the club), was made using the sketch.  I'll show the cards we made later ... The colors are gumball green (loving it for Christmas cards) and real red.  The patterned paper look is actually just randomly stamped using the Bright Blossoms stamp se

Cup of Thanks

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  When I first saw this stamp set, I didn't think it would be one I would ever get ... but I was wrong.  I really like the warmth and friendliness it implies.  I think it could not only be used for a thank you, but the way I have it here with the tea bag inside, it could be used as a get well card. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Primrose Petals, and Whisper White.  The designer paper is Floral District.   Tea Shoppe -- #125545 (wood) #125547 (clear mount) To order your Stampin' Up! supplies, click here or email me .

Poppies Thinking of You

Image
Hi Stamping Friends.  It's really amazing all the stuff you find when you clean your craft room.  I found these pieces just sitting around ... the stamped Pleasant Poppies image already colored and cut out, the very vanilla background already border punched with the retired lace border, and embossed with the frame folder embossing folder.  So, I pulled out a the primrose petals paper and found a border already stamped on the bottom from the Serene Silhouettes stamp and just started piecing the card together.  I like the way it turned out.  I guess this would be considered a true "scrapping" project! However, I did need a few new Stampin' Up! supplies to complete the card.  How about you?  Do you need some supplies?  Click here to order or email me .

Waxed Paper Video

Spotlight Floral District

Image
Floral District Designer Paper Hi Stamping Friends.  Inspiration comes from all kinds of places.  Today's inspiration came from the Floral District Designer Paper.  My 6-year old granddaughter saw the paper and mentioned I should make a card like the paper (I'm starting them young).  I also had a technique class coming up, so we did the spotlight technique to match the paper.  Typically when the spotlight technique is done, you only make one focal point, but this one needed all the flowers covered. Here's how I did it.  I used the Lucky Limeade Designer Series paper from the In-Color designer packet and embossed the Pleasant Poppies stamp using white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I stamped and embossed two pieces of calypso coral with the same image. Two pieces of the calypso coral were necessary because some of the circles overlapped.  Next, I punched out the circles with the 1-1/4" circle punch and lined them up to fit ove

Happy First Birthday!

Image
Opening up her first gifts!  Hi Stamping Friends.  Today was my great-granddaughter's first birthday!  We have been calling her a little cupcake, so I just HAD to do a cupcake card.  The cupcake builder punch was used for the cupcake, and the number one was just freehanded. The colors are pink pirouette, pink passion, black, baja breeze and whisper white.  The sentiment is from the curly cute stamp set. If you would like to place your Stampin' Up! supply order, click here or email me .
