Paper Strips Background Technique

 
Technique Time!  Today I've created this beautiful background for this card by using 1/2" strips of designer series paper in a simple pattern.
 

The hydrangea flower itself is cut out in velveteen paper which gives it a soft look and feel.  When the flower is initially cut out, it is flat, but by pushing the petals forward from the back, they come to life.


Below is a video on how to make the background and the entire card.  My apologies in advance for the length of the video.  Still learning video editing, and tried to speed up portions of the video, but couldn't make it work....so feel free to speed it up as you need to.
