Wood Textures Birthday

Masculine cards sometimes seem the most difficult to create, but this one is pretty simple.  Using a 2" strip of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (which is one of the designer series papers that are included in the promotion below), it came together pretty quickly.

Quilted Kitty Shadow Box

Looking for that perfect gift for cat lovers or quilters?  This is a simple solution. The shadowbox frame is 6" x 6" and the image is about 4" x 4".  The cat is punched from the Quilted Christmas Cardstock Pack using the cat punch, adorned with Black Rhinestone Jewels around his neck.  The quilt in the center is cut out with the Quilt Builder Framelits Dies in real red and filled in with black and Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper which features both black and white music and designs.  For a pop of sparkle, the center is filled with a clear Faceted Gem.

A little tip ... before I ran the quilted portion through the Big Shot, I cut a 3" x 3" square of red, black, and Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (one black sheet and one white sheet) and placed them on a multipurpose adhesive sheet.  Then I ran them through the die (4 times -- once for each color) By doing that first I didn't have any trouble adhering any of the pieces into their proper spots, including the frame.  As an added bonus there are plenty of leftover pieces that can be used to make another card or frame.

Fall Thanks

I had never heard of the term "buffalo plaid" before, and a couple of my customers kept saying how they love the buffalo plaid.  Well, now I know what it is ... the plaid pattern (in any colors) in this pretty fall card.  The designer paper is actually one of the Christmas papers called Merry Little Christmas, but works great for fall too.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but there is a pretty copper strip across the top of the plaid, and accented with a copper ribbon knot.  The leaves are cut from the leaflet dies then the old olive maple leaf is stamped after it's cut out.  All the leaves are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Perfect card to say thanks.

Anniversary Picture Frame

This weekend I had an opportunity to help someone with their anniversary project (18" x 24").  The picture truly does not do it justice ... it's really pretty in real life.  The center is a 12" x 12" piece of red glimmer paper (retired).  The mat for each photo is copper glimmer paper.  The year dates are actually in dazzling diamonds glitter paper cut out with the Number framelits.  The little design on the sides is cut out from a piece of the year of cheer designer series paper (I used my Brother Scan n Cut -- soooo easy!--check out the link on the right to get yours).  I got the idea from our catalog as seen in the picture frame below.
