Guy Greetings

Guy cards are not that difficult, yet so many of us struggle with creating them.  Here is a nice card using Guy Greetings and designer paper.  The frame for the hats is from the retiring Apothecary Framelits.

Birthday Creation

My 9-year old granddaughter loves to come in my stamp room asking if she can make a card.  Over the past couple years she has really improved.  Her first "creation" of the day was just a bunch of words stamped with random hearts stuck on the card.  Then she saw one of my cards.  We had a little conversation about layers and she seemed to have an "aha" moment.  She asked for a couple "sea" colors and found the stamp set By the Tide.  It was fun to watch her.  She cut all the layers herself and stamped and cut out the starfish.  We discussed the placement of the starfish (at first she wanted to just place them all over), and I told her she might want to consider grouping them.  She loved the idea, and she did an excellent job ... don't you think???

When I first meet people and ask them to join us for a class, they tend to say "I'm not that creative" ... if a 9-year old can do it, anyone can!!!  (Actually, no creation is necessary, everything is cut out and ready to go).

Check out my class schedule.  If you are in the Milwaukee/Metro area and would like to participate in a class, just email me.  Or if you might be interested in online class, let me know.  If I get enough interest, I'll gladly get one going!

Something Borrowed Wedding and Anniversary

Do you need a card for an upcoming wedding or anniversary?  This is one of those cards that you can easily change the layout for a totally different look.  I colored some of the flowers on the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper to create a more cohesive look.  The wedding sets in the Occasions Catalog are so pretty.  See below for the list of supplies.  To order your Stampin' Up! supplies, simply click on the item and add them to your cart.
