Simply Sketched Birthday

Hi Stamping Friends.  Have you seen the newest hostess sets in the new 2013-2014 catalog?  They are all fantastic!  This one is my favorites!  It's called Simple Sketches.  The colors are Midnight Muse, Sahara Sand, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, and Soho Subway Designer Paper.  I used the ovals framelits (with my new magnetic platform -- love it!!!!), and used the stripes embossing folder.

Elmo Party Invites

Hi Stamping Friends.  My soon-to-be two year old great-granddaughter loves Elmo.  Here are the invitations for her upcoming birthday party.  My granddaughter made about 40 of these.  She didn't realize how much time it really takes to make that many cards LOL.  But she had such a sense of price and accomplishment!

Elmo was made using the following punches:  2-3/8" scallop circle, 1/2" circle and itty bitty shapes circle, and pendant punch (hat).  The balloons are non-Stampin' Up!  The pom-poms were from retired pom-pom trim.

(so cute ... as I'm writing this message, my gg-daugher saw Elmo, and was all excited!!)

Pleasant Poppies Thanks

Hi Stamping Friends.  One thing I seldom think of doing is stamping and coloring on designer paper.  I saw another card that did stamp an image on DSP, so I thought, why not!  Pleasant Poppies was stamped using black Stazon ink on Epic Day This and That designer paper, then the poppies were colored with a Calypso Coral marker, and the stems colored with a Sahara Sand marker ... finished off with White Gel pen centers on the flowers.

The colors are Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand, Black, and Epic Day This and That Designer paper.  The sentiment is stamped with Itty Bitty Banners and cut out using the Bitty Banners framelits ... which cut sooooo cool using the new Magnetic Platform.  Watch the video below on how it works!

Washi Father's Day

Hi Stamping Friends.  This is a CASE from another demonstrator.  I love this color combination ... pool party and basic gray.  The Epic Day washi tape is becoming one of my favorite things to use.  I also love the clay buttons.  The designer paper is called Epic Day.

Bubble Wrap Butterflies

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's card features one of the techniques we did in our Technique Class called "bubble wrap".  The first instruction was to NOT POP BUBBLES.  That made it really difficult for some LOL.  The new in colors are used ... coastal cabana, strawberry slush, and crisp cataloupe.  The butterflies are from the 25th Best of Butterflies, and Papillon Potpourri.  Also used are the new stamp set called Label Love and the new Artisan Label punch.

Marker Block Smear

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's card is one we made in our technique club.  I call the technique "marker block smear".   Very easy to do ... simply color clear acrylic block with marker, give it one squirt of water, and smear on card stock.  Then stamp a solid image using black stazon.  This card I used Serene Silhouettes.  The tops of the flowers are actually glittered, which really adds to the card.  Another simple elegant card.
