Sweet & Sour Patchwork

Hi Stamping Friends.  Don't you just love the vibrant colors of this card.  Pumpkin pie, black, rose red, and the designer paper called Sweet and Sour which will be retiring on Thursday.  The squares were punched with the postage stamp punch, laid out on black, then run through the Big Shot using the square lattice embossing folder.

Stampin' Up! Packaging

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's post is something fun!  Whenever my Stampin' Up! packages arrive, my granddaughters love to play with the packaging.  This time, the youngest decided to make a dress and a trail to walk on.  What a hoot!

I love my new arrivals today ... new in color paper, a new die, preview stamp set, some of the new catalogs (can't show you, though .... July 1st is when the new catalog goes live).  This is just one of the advantages of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator (getting to order and preview everything before everyone else!).  If you would like to join my team, click here for details, or contact me and I'll answer all your questions.

Waterfall Card

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's card is called a waterfall card.  You pull on the bottom ribbon and the flowers all pop up.  We made this in one of our classes this week.  The technique for the flower is done by using drops of reinkers of daffodil delight and melon mambo on baby wipes, and use the baby wipe as a stamp pad.

Hope you have a great day.

Fabulous Florets Paint Chips

Hi Stamping Friends.  I know I promised to post daily, but I didn't have anything to post.  So I made a bunch of cards, now hopefully I'll be able to keep up again.  Sorry about that.

Today's card is one that we made at a recent upline meeting that I was invited to go to with a "sideline".  Which means a fellow demonstrator not on my team invited me to a meeting.  This card is pretty simple, using whisper white, black, and strips that look like paint chips in pink pirouette, pretty in pink, rose red, and melon mambo.  Once they're placed on the black, they are stamped with black ink using the Fabulous Florets stamp set.

Don't forget about the Last Chance Items.  June 30th, it all ends!

Father's Day Courage

Hi Stamping Friends.  Today's card is one that was requested.  The person wanted a military Father's Day card.  The card stock is not quite navy, really red, and crumb cake.  The image from the Courage stamp set was stamped with Black Stazon and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painter.  I just love the way the white stands out (but not too much) on the crumb cake.  I used the roughing tool around the edges of the crumb cake then sponged it in early espresso.  The ribbon is on the clearance rack.

Golden Anniversary

Hi Stamping Friends.  This card is so much prettier in real life.  It's a golden anniversary card that I need for an upcoming party.  The card base is brushed gold, with a layer of white vellum, then French Filigree background stamped on whisper and embossed with gold embossing powder.  The gold scallop heart borders are cut using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit, with the white hearts punched from the full heart punch.  The sentiment is stamped on vellum and embossed in gold.  The ribbon is well-retired organza ribbon secured with a gold brad.

I can't wait for mid-week ... I get my 2011-2012 catalogs ... one of the great advantages of being a demonstrator.  Why not consider being part of my team?!  Click here to find out the details.

Kitty Sail Away

Hi Stamping Friends.  I'm sorry for not posting as frequently as I had in the past.  I just started a new job and trying to get back into the swing of things.  I'm almost there, so I'll hopefully be back to daily posting.  Today's card is another CASE (from Jackie Topa).  It's just so cute, though.....The base is black with cajun craze embossed using the square scallop embossing folder.  On whisper white, the sun is made by using a mask from the 1-3/4" circle, daubered with daffodil delight and pumpkin pie.  Then stamped using Sail Away, and painted with marina mist.  It is then cut into equal pieces, then laid onto the black.

The head of the kitty is punched in grey using the 3/4 X 15/16 Inch Oval Punch, and the remainder of the kitty is made using the Blossom Petals XL Punch.  After punching they are daubered in grey.  The greeting is from Happy Greetings with a flower brad on the side.

Summer Fun

Hi Stamping Friends.....well, I'm back to CASEing again.  This cute card is totally summer with the flip flops CASEd from a fellow demonstrator, Mary Brown.  From the Sunny Fun stamp set in the mini, it's the perfect set.  The flowers are punched from using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch in melon mambo and pumpkin pie.  The rectangular panels are from the Sweet and Sour designer series paper.
