Eastern Blooms Thanks

Hello stampers.  Today's card is a nice spring card ... something to brighten up the day (we're expecting 10+ inches of snow).  It is a CASE from another demonstrator, but I'm sorry to say, I don't remember who it is.

The Pink Pirouette background is framed using the Tulip Frame embossing folder (can you tell I LOVE this folder).  The inside is black, whisper white and pink pirouette.  The tree from the Eastern Blooms set is stamped in black stazon, followed by coloring the flowers with the white gel pen.  The sentiment is from the Perfect Punches set.  It's finished off with 5/8" white organza ribbon and pearls.

Winter Season of Friendship

It's snowing outside today, so I thought I would post this Season of Friendship winter card.  The colors are Marina Mist, Real Red and Whisper White.  The sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers set, that is punched using the large oval, then matted with a marina mist scallop oval punch and finally a decorative label punch in real red.  The 1/4" real red grosgrain ribbon adds just a bit of color across the bottom.  The whisper white is also stamped in Bashful Blue with one of the stamps from the Extreme Elements set (although hard to see ... just click on the picture for a larger view).

Bathroom Inspiration

Inspiration can come in the strangest places ... for me, it was from the bathroom wallpaper that was at the hotel during our retreat.  I knew the colors were not a combination I would have thought of on my own -- crumb cake and blushing bride, I like the way it turned out.  The stamp set is from the Occasions mini called Valentine Defined.  The background was made by using the stamp pads directly onto the Very Vanilla paper.

Leave a comment to let me know where your inspiration comes from.

Weekend Retreat

Hi Stampers.  Hope you had a good weekend.  I had a wonderful weekend on a little crop retreat.  Although were were a small group (there were more than pictured), we really had a good time and we all accomplished most of what we set out to do.  The ladies worked on their cards and scrapbooks.  Everyone was able to use my "toys", and they were also awarded prizes.

Falling behind on your Scrapbooking? Come join me at my Monthly Crops. We each make memories everyday that we want to preserve and remember, so if you have photos hiding in boxes or still on your camera; break 'em out, grab some of your favorite scrapbooking supplies and come join me for a fun night of scrappin' and stampin'. Don't forget to invite your friends!

Not a scrapbooker? You're welcome to come work on any of your rubber stamping projects.
The next day retreat is Saturday, February 19th.  We plan to hold them each third Saturday of the month, with a weekend retreat in May and October. If you are interested in attending, feel free to email me.  Space is limited to 10.

Ribbon Heart Faux Iris Folding

Hello stampers.  Today's card features a variation of the iris fold.  By using ribbon you can create the same effect.  It's been a while since I've done videos, but I'm really going to make an effort to do more ... New Year's Resolution sort of thing.  I would love to see what you come up with using this technique.  Email me your creations and I'd love to post them on my blog.

Hearts Couple

Isn't this card adorable!  It's a CASE from Valita in Australia, but I couldn't resist in making one.  It could be used as a wedding card (change the cherry cobbler to white) or anniversary, or Valentine's day.  The base card is black, then a layer of Cherry Cobbler embossed using the tulip impressions embossing folder.  The envelope is from the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die, then embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.  The rose is made using the Bird Punch (cherry cobbler and olive "wings"), and the branch is the stem.  The "characters" are punched from the Full Heart Punch in cherry cobbler, pink pirouette, whisper white, and basic gray.

Filled with Love Growing Hearts

The Filled with Love stamp set is such a versatile set.  This card was super easy to make.  The tulip impressions embossing folder is used for the border on whisper white.  Real red and whisper white are used for the center.  The image is stamped three times on the top (since I used a wood set, I actually had to get out my stamp-a-majig).  The ribbon is the perfect accent.  Pearls, rhinestones, or even clear buttons from the itty bitty buttons could also be added to each of the hearts.  Depending on the sentiment, this could be used for thinking of you, birthday or even Valentine's day.

Now is the perfect time to order the Filled with Love bundle, and get the itty bitty buttons FREE.  Click here to order.

Vintage Filled with Love

It feels so good to get back into the swing of things after a little vacation.  This card was done in Chocolate Chip (embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder), Natural Ivory (punched using the eyelet border), and Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper.  The hearts were stamped in Bravo Burgundy, using the Filled with Love stamp set and punched using the heart punch.  The ribbon was pleated just using Snail.

Don't forget about the Filled with Love special, and receive FREE itty bitty buttons.  To place your order click here.

Nature Walk Thinking of You

This is a very simple card (from a previous layout) using the Nature Walk stamp set in the new Occasions Mini.  The birdcage is stamped in Early Espresso and the butterflies are stamped in Bashful Bride.  The In-Color designer paper is used as one of the backgrounds.  The sentiment is from the Curly Cute.
