Cheep Talk Thanks

This was a quick and easy card using Tall Tales Designer paper as my guide to the colors used.  The colors are chocolate chip, brilliant blue, rose red, so saffron, and whisper white.  Sometimes some of the current stamps are neglected because I'm always using the new ones, which by the way, are coming out tomorrow in the Summer Mini Catalog!

So that means TODAY is your last chance to order the items from the mini occasions catalog.  You can either order directly or email me BEFORE 10 PM, and I'll make sure the order gets in on time.  And as a special bonus, if you place a minimum $50 order (before tax & shipping), I'll include your name TWICE on the customer rewards board.

If you place a $100 order (before tax & shipping), you will receive FOUR entries on the customer rewards board and receive FREE shipping (this is valid only through email and US customers only).

If you place a $150 order (before tax & shipping) you will receive SIX entries on the customer rewards board, FREE shipping (this is valid only through email and US customers only), the HOSTESS LEVEL 1 rewards, AND TWO FREE retired stamp sets.  Once you place your order, I'll give you the list to select from.

Layered Birthday

This card features a one stamp coming in, one going out, and one that will be dormant for a few months.  The pretty butterfly is one of the new single stamps called All a Flutter, that will be available in the upcoming summer mini catalog which begins on May 1st.  Also new is the square lattice impressions folder that was used for the background.  The Well Scripted happy birthday is in the current mini catalog which ends April 30.  I'll miss that one!  The Vintage Vogue flourish that is currently in the mini will be featured in the upcoming Idea book in July, so that one will be dormant for a few months until its return.

There are only two colors in this card (other than the shading of the butterfly) -- chocolate chip and very vanilla.  The bridesmaid designer specialty paper adds interest between the striped pattern and the swirly pattern.  Then they are offset with plain cardstock.  The ribbon is from the Masterpiece ribbon originals, which was actually my inspiration for the card.

Don't forget to order your favorites from the Occasions Mini catalog they are no longer available.  Click here or simply email me.

Stamp Sets:  Well Scripted, Vintage Vogue, All a Flutter (upcoming)
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Bridesmaid Designer Specialty Paper
Extras:  Masterpiece Ribbon Originals, Wide Oval Punch, Square Lattice Impressions Folder (upcoming)

Awash with Flowers

Here is another attempt at the LNS challenge. The bedding in the picture reminds me of this stamp.  Stampin' Up! sure does follow the trends!

Colors used are Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal (retiring), Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.  The sentiment is a sneak peak from the set Watercolor Trio.

Awash with Flowers is such a pretty and versatile stamp set.  It is available through Friday, and then it will not be available again until the July catalog comes out.  The Fifth Avenue Floral set is also on sale until the end of this month.  Click here to see other sets on sale.

The colors used for this card are Summer Sun (retiring) and Groom Designer Specialty Paper.  The top note die was used for the center shape.  The rose is made by stamping black ink, then embossing with black embossing powder on summer sun cardstock.  Then it is spritzed with water and using the aqua painter, dabbed with reinkers (summer sun, ruby red, and tangerine tango).

Of the Earth Inspiration

This was a Late Night Stampers inspiration challenge.  When I first looked at the little squares on the bottom, they reminded me of the square bird in the Of the Earth stamp set.

The colors are Sahara Sand, Ruby Red, Apricot Appeal, and Chocolate Chip.  The birds are embossed on Sahara Sand Squares.  The Ruby Red texture is made by using the new square lattice impressions folder from the upcoming summer mini catalog.

The colors, apricot appeal and ruby red are among the retiring colors.  So, if those are some of your favorites, now is the time to order them.  Click here to place your Stampin' Up! supply order, or simply email me.

Stamp Set:  Of the Earth Hostess Set
Ink:  Chocolate Chip Craft, Ruby Red Craft, Clear embossing powder
Cardstock:  Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Apricot Appeal
Extras:  Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Square Lattice Impressions Folder

Watercolor Trio

My new favorite set ... Watercolor Trio ... which will be available in the upcoming summer mini, May 1st.  Can't wait until I can show you the catalog, there are lots of fun things in there.

These cards are so subtle, but that's what I love that about them.  Soft suede and kraft are the background, with either not quite navy or rich razzleberry as the contrasting color.  The Ovals BIGZ die makes the perfect frame for the flowers, accented with a little paper piercing along the side of the oval.

If you have not received your copy of the summer mini catalog in the mail, and would like a copy, please email me, and I'll get one out to you (US only).

Stamp Set:  Watercolor Trio (available May 1)
Ink:  Not Quite Navy or Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Kraft (soon to be Crumb Cake), Not Quite Navy or Rich Razzleberry
Extras:  (blue) Elementary Ribbon Originals, (razzleberry) 1/2" Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot Ribbon (reverse side), Photo Corner punch, Ovals BIGZ die, paper piercing tool

Awash with Flowers

The Awash with Flowers set is so versatile.  It will be in the upcoming Idea Book and Catalog in July, but Stampin' Up! is offering the set as a sneak peak, available for purchase until April 30.  This two-step stamping is an easy way to create your own designer paper.

The color scheme in this card uses retiring colors of Pink Passion, Pale Plum, and Lovely Lilac, accented with Black.  The sentiment is from the Well Scripted set (which is in the Occasions Mini that is also ending April 30).

Order your supplies for these sets before they're no longer available!  Click here or email me to do so.

Circle Circus Hello

As I was looking at some of the retiring colors, I saw the cameo coral just sitting there as pretty is it is.  Then I checked out my designer paper supply to see what matched.  This piece in the pack called Pink Flamingo worked perfectly.  I never would have put this color scheme together on my own.

The colors are cameo coral, riding hood red, and black.  To keep with the clean, modern look, the corners are rounded with the corner rounder and a simple "hello" is the perfect sentiment for this card. The circle surrounding the hello is from the Circle Circus stamp set.

Do you have a supply of all your favorite colors that are being discontinued?  If not, place your Stampin' Up! order today.  Simply click HERE or email me with your order.

Funky Green Hello

This funky card was a CASE from LeeAnn Greff, a fellow SU demonstrator.  I wanted to showcase a few of the colors that are being discontinued.

The colors are Green Galore, Glorious Green, Yo Yo Yellow, Summer Sun, Dusty Durango, Really Rust -- all being discontinued.  They are all accented with Basic Black.

The flowers are made using a 3/4" square punch and the corners rounded with the corner rounder on opposite corners.  The center of the flower is made from the Boho Blossom punch, which was spritzed with water and crunched up, then "uncrunched" and secured with a matching brad.  The ribbon is pumpkin pie.

Now is the time to stock up on your favorite colors that are being discontinued.  Click here to order your supplies.

Ink:  Black
Cardstock:  Green Galore, Glorious Green, Yo Yo Yellow, Summer Sun, Dusty Durango, Really Rust, Basic Black

Bouquet Bunch

This was a PPA sketch challenge.  I haven't done sketch challenges in a while ... I think I need to go back to them.  I really like the way this card turned out.  I got a few new stamp sets -- the Woodgrain background stamp, and the sneak preview call Bouquet Bunch from the summer mini catalog which begins May 1st.

The woodgrain image stamped on Kraft just gives this card a rustic feel.  The flowers stamped twice and colored with markers.  Once on the card, then on a scrap and cut out and placed over the other flowers with dimensionals.  The rich razzleberry piece is crimped for texture, and the tiny tag sentiment is punched out with the medium jewelry tag punch and put on with a glue dot, with a bow made from hemp twine.

To order the current supplies click here.

Stamp Sets:  Woodgrain background, Tiny Tags, Bouquet Bunch (upcoming mini)
Ink:  Brown, Markers-crushed curry, summer sun, certainly celery, old olive, pretty in pink, melon mambo, dusty durango.
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, rich razzleberry, kraft, very vanilla
Extras:  Paper crimper, medium jewelry punch, hemp twine, sponges

Cake Server with Beads

Well, this isn't a stamping project, but it's pretty, anyway.  I was privileged to go to a woman's retreat and I was truly refreshed.  We had a craft time, and the cake server was the project we made.  The beads are strung and wrapped around with wire.

Just a nice Sunday post.  Have a nice day.

Garden from the Heart

For this card, I did a color challenge -- ruby red, cameo coral, blush blossom and close to cocoa.  The colors really blended nicely.  The ruby red background is a sneak peak impressions folder called Square Lattice that will available in the summer mini.  It makes it look like fabric.  The stamp set is from Garden from the Heart in the current mini catalog that will be ending in just a few weeks.  This card is so much prettier in real life.

If you are on my mailing list, you should be receiving your copy of the Summer Mini Catalog within the next week.  If you would like to receive a copy simply email me and I'll send you a copy.  Ordering begins May 1st, however, if you are member of my team, you can begin ordering right away!  Does that sound like something of interest?  Click here for more information.  My password is zgrandma.

To order your supplies, please click here or email me.

Stamp Sets:  Garden from the Heart, All Holidays
Ink:  Brown, Ruby Red, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand

Vintage Vogue Praying

You will be seeing several posts in the next few months that will be showcasing some of the colors that will be "renovated".  Ballet Blue, Glorious Green, and Green Galore and three of these colors.

So, if these colors are some of your favorites, now is the time to stock up.  You can do so by placing your order here, or simply email me.

Also, the orchid opulence cardstock and Shades of Spring designer paper will also be retiring.  So this is my way of saying "farewell".

But wait ... there's more!  You can still order these products for a short time.  To place your order today, click here or feel free to email me.  And remember, if your order is $50 or more, you are eligible for the drawing in the 50/50 customer rewards program.  The card is almost halfway filled.

Brayer Thumping Garden Whimsy

The technique in the center is called "brayer thumping"... anyway, that's what I'm calling it.  Simply ink up your brayer, and touch it onto glossy white card stock, then move the brayer around in a "thumping" or bouncing motion until the entire cardstock is filled.  I used regal rose and rose red.  The other cardstock is elegant eggplant and regal rose.  The stamp is from Garden Whimsy.  The rounded corners add a different look to the card.  I pulled out the spiral punch (which I forgot I had) for the notebook look on the top.  The butterfly was embossed on the bottom and also one that is cut out and put over the bottom layer with dimensionals.

To order your supplies for this project please click here or email me.

Stamp Set:  Garden Whimsy
Ink:  Rose Red, Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant (craft and clear embossing powder)
Cardstock:  Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant, Glossy White
Extras:  Spiral Punch, Corner Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, 5/8" Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon

Thinking Trendy

The Sweet Pea designer paper was my inspiration for this card.  It is a perfect match for the Trendy Trees stamp set.  The taken with teal swirlies are stamped on the old olive background.  The so saffron and chocolate chip tree match the DP.  The large so saffron ribbon is from a retired SAB set.

A couple of things to note.  The Sweet Pea designer paper is in the Occasions Mini Catalog that will be ending this month!  So there are only a few weeks to order.

The Trendy Trees stamp set is on sale!  You can get it for 20% of.  See the promotion here.

To place your order, simply email me or click here.   And don't forget, for every $50 you spend, you are eligible for my customer rewards program!

Stampin' Up! Renovation

Did you ever do any home renovations?  They can be such a mess while you're making the changes, but in the end everything is so fresh and new.  Well, yesterday Stampin' Up! announced that they have "renovated" their color palettes, and during the change over, it may appear a bit messy to some, but the end result will be so fresh and new.

Below is the new color palette that will be available in the new Idea Catalog coming out in July.

Below is the list of colors that are being discontinued.  So if you have a favorite color that you can't do without, now is the time to place your order.  The current colors will be available until June 1st, then when the supplies are gone, they're gone for good.

And don't forget, for every $50 you spend through me, your name will be put on my customer rewards board ... check it out by clicking the flower on the right.

Pansies using Butterfly Punch

This layout might look a little familiar...it should.  I used it for this card.  I saw the pansies shown by another demonstrator and loved them so much I thought I would make the video below of how to make them.  They're so fun and simple.  We are also making this card as one of our project at club tonight.

The card is made using lovely lilac, lavender lace, crushed curry and whisper white.  The stamp set is called Sweetheart (not in the catalog, but can be ordered using item #120780).

If you have trouble viewing the video, click here to go directly to U-Tube.
