These wallets are fun little gifts that I give away holding my business cards.  They're simple and easy to make.  These two use the Sweet Pea Designer paper and Chocolate Chip cardstock.  They are closed using velcro, and accented with a chocolate chip corduroy button.

There is a video tutorial below.

Bridal Bitty Birthday

This is one of those cards that is nothing as it started out to be. I found that I had one "leftover" piece of bridal specialty paper that was sponged for another card (top portion of the card).  The plan was to use the card design for another class. As I was cutting the supplies for the class, I realized I was out of the swirly paper in the packet, so I decided I would use the striped paper in the packet instead. I sponged the stripes a little darker than the swirls but I didn't like the look for my original card, so I cut the pieces in half, and put the two together.  I like the look, and came out with the background for this card.

Then the other day I started playing with the Bitty Birthday stamp set that I received FREE as a Sale-a-bration gift, and set it aside.  I hadn't colored the cake yet, so I used my so saffron and melon mambo markers to match the background, and it all came together.  I added a little ribbon, and I was good to go.

Blue Flower Thanks

This card is dedicated to a dear friend who took me out to lunch.  Her favorite color is blue, so I knew she would like this.

The card itself is a CASE from a fellow demonstrator with a few minor changes. The bashful blue is embossed using the perfect polka dot impressions folder.  The night of navy flower is stamped with white craft ink, then embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I used the 1/2" circle punch in bashful blue for the center of the flower, topped off with a white brad. The polka dots in the ribbon match the old olive leaves on the Sweetheart stamp (item #120415 -- not in the catalog).

Stamp Sets:  With All My Heart, Sweetheart
Ink:  Craft White and white embossing powder, Classic Old Olive, Classic Night of Navy
Cardstock:  Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Old Olive
Extras:  Elementary Ribbon Originals, 5/8" neutral jumbo brads, Small & Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Pumch, Perfect Polka Dot Impressions Folder

Vogue Thoughts

I purchased the ribbon called Masterpiece, which has an assortment of three different ribbons included in the package.  This card is designed around the ribbon.  Elegant eggplant, close to cocoa, and sahara sand are the basic colors.  The sahara sand was run through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder, then sponged in close to cocoa.  The images are stamped using Vintage Vogue and Whimsical Words.  I used the FREE Sale-A-Bration scallop trim border punch for the edge and the scallop corner punch around the sentiment.

There are only a few weeks left for Sale-A-Bration.  Have you picked out your FREE items yet, along with your $50 order?  If not, click here to place your order, 24/7.

Stamp Sets: Vintage Vogue, Whimsical Words
Ink:  Close to Cocoa, Elegant Eggplant
Cardstock:  Elegant Eggplant, Close to Cocoa, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla
Extras:  Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Scallop Trim Punch, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Masterpiece Ribbon

Totally Tool Birthday

I had the Totally Tool stamp out, and I also had a request to make a masculine birthday card, I decided to create this card.

The colors were inspired by the Sweet Pea Designer paper ... chocolate chip and so saffron.  The so saffron is stamped in creamy caramel with the sanded background stamp to give it a more rugged look.  Then I roughed the edges with the roughing portion of the cutting tool.  It's difficult to see, but the sahara sand piece that is holding the tools is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder (from the mini catalog) and placed on the card with the impressions facing down instead of up.  Any tool lover would love this card!

The sentiment is from the Bitty Birthday set that you can get FREE in the back of the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Stamp Sets:  Totally Tool, Sanded, Bitty Birthdays

Thoughts and Prayers

This was a tough card to make.  A friend passed away yesterday and this is for her husband.  The Thoughts and Prayers stamp set is such a comforting stamp set.  I wanted to keep it masculine, and I didn't want flowers.  The butterfly embosslit from the mini catalog worked perfectly.  Soft suede and ruby red worked well together.

Stamp Set:  Thoughts & Prayers
Ink:  Soft Suede
Paper:   Soft Suede, Ruby Red, Soft Suede Designer Paper
Extras:  Butterfly Embosslit, Scallop Oval Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Brushed Gold Brads

Totally Tool Invite

One of my friends needed a manly invitation for an upcoming party.  I've always wanted to use the Totally Tool stamp set, and this was my chance.  On Kraft cardstock, I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and mounted it with the impression facing down on Night of Navy.  The base card is Bordering Blue.  The card could have used some brads, but there are quite a few invitations to send through the mail, and we wanted the card to remain as flat as possible.

Stamp Sets:  Totally Tool, Mark the Date
Ink:  Black Stazon, Markers--Summer Sun, Real Red, Going Gray
Cardstock:  Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, Kraft, Whisper White
Extras:  Paper Crimper, 1-5/8", 1-1/4", 1/2" Circle Punches, Large & Small Oval Punches, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

Cat Sympathy

Unfortunately, I needed this card for my SIL who had to put their cat down on Saturday.  It was 17 years old, but it was still considered part of the family.

The C is for Cat stamp set is one of the Sale-A-Bration sets that is listed in the back of the SAB catalog that I received FREE for ordering $50 worth of product.  I was thankful that I ordered it.  There are only a few weeks left for Sale-A-Bration.  It ends on March 31st.  So if you are considering placing a Stampin' Up! order, now would be the time to order.

Stamp Set:  C is for Cat
Ink:  Black, Black embossing powder
Cardstock:  Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Extras: 5/8" Black grosgrain ribbon, Circles #2 BIGZ die, 1/2" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch

Popping Out Chocolate Bunny

This chocolate bunny (with his ears chomped off) looks like it's popping out of the center of the card. The Chocolate Bunny stamp can be found in the mini catalog. I used the wide oval punch for the eggs behind the bunny.  The Sending Love Designer Paper adds glitter and elegance to the card.

Stamps:  Chocolate Bunny, Well Scripted
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Sending Love Designer Specialty, Very Vanilla
Extras:  Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

Videos for Paper Roses

This beautiful card was made for a friend having a bad day.  Her favorite colors are light yellow and black.  It's just a standard easel card, but it sure turned out pretty. Below are two videos to guide you in making the roses.  Because I was so long-winded I had to make it into two videos, and I still haven't mastered the editing part of videos.  Sorry about that.  But hopefully you'll learn how to make these beautiful flowers.

I got the idea from a fellow demonstrator, Julie Williams who wrote a great tutorial on them.  Thanks, Julie.

Stamp Set:  With All My Heart
Ink:  Apricot appeal, black
Cardstock:  Black, apricot appeal, white bridal designer paper
Punches:  Extra Large Fancy Flower punch, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, black satin ribbon.

More Happy Moments

At club last night, I wanted to somehow include the use of the chocolate bunny, but I also had another card that we were making, so I gave them a choice of images to use utilizing the same base background. Some used the chocolate bunny, some used the birdcage, while others used the gift in the Happy Moments Sale-A-Bration set.  They really love the versatility of that set, along with the Whimsical Words and Well Scripted sets.

Then I wanted to show them the cool roses that I created (alright CASED from another demonstrator) using the big flower punch ... actually the flowers are just sitting on top of the existing card to show off the flowers.  Tomorrow I will show you more on the roses, so stop on by.

Don't forget, you can only get the Happy Moments and Whimsical Words sets through the Sale-A-Bration promotion ... for every $50 worth of product you order, get a FREE set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  But hurry, offer ends March 31.
