It feels so good to get back into the swing of things again and stamp something other than Christmas! Today's card is inspired by a sketch challenge.
The cardstock is apricot appeal, rose red, chocolate chip, old olive, and very vanilla. For the background I used the new very vintage wheel in chocolate chip, and sponged the edges with creamy caramel. The corner pieces are from the new punch called scallop trim corner, then I lined up the corners in the photo corner punch (item #109042) and punched them out. The stamp sets used are all from the new mini ... Garden from the Heart and Well Scripted. The chocolate chip satin ribbon is also new.
I just can't wait to upload the new mini catalog with all the fun stamps and punches on January 5th!
If you would like to receive upcoming mini catalog, please email me and I'll get a copy out to you.
Here is my new calendar for 2010. I thought I would change it up from last year's calendar. The top photo shows it all put together. The washer in the bottom will be covered eventually, but it helps weigh down the calendar so it doesn't fall forward. The other pics are what each month looks like.
I will be holding a couple of classes (January 2nd and January 7) to make these. If you are interested in the class, please email me.
To purchase complete instructions which include separate photos for each month, click the buy now button below. Once payment of US $3.95 is received, I will email you a copy in pdf format within 24 hours.
I'm so glad I can finally post this. It was a gift for a dear friend using the Tote-ally Tess stamp and put on a candle. The stamp set is a sneak peak from the upcoming mini catalog that will be available January 5th.
But don't forget about the existing holiday mini catalog. The items in that catalog will no longer be available January 4th. Click here to place your order 24/7.
My 6-year old granddaughter is trying to follow in my footsteps with her craftiness. I had a snowflake already punched out from the Snowflake #2 die and I kept the circles from the suckers posted below (true crafter, can't throw away anything!). She saw them sitting on my counter and put them together and wanted to make a card. So, we pulled out the Big Shot and cranked out 15 snowflakes (she did all the work). I had some leftover cardstock already cut out for the cards and attached the snowflakes and ornaments with glue dots (I was too lazy to bring out the glue). She used an old stamp that I had for the greeting and addressed them all without my help. What fun!
It just goes to show you cardmaking does not have to be ornate and difficult. Click here to let me know if you are interested in receiving details for upcoming classes ... some will include Mom & Me.
Here's an idea for a last minute gift!

These sucker treats are for my granddaughter's Kindergarten class treat. The suckers were from the $$ store and were covered with a 3 x 6 piece of cardstock with a 1-3/8" hole punched in the center of one side, with a little designer paper added, topped with a Merry Christmas from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. If anyone decides to make these, red tape is necessary along the sides ... yes I found that out after using glue and/or tape runner for the sides and they all started popping open.
To order your Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, email me and I'll put your order in with one of my orders, and your name will be drawn to be the hostess.....free stamp set and $15 in free merchandise. Or, gather orders from you and your friends totally a minimum of $150, and you can also qualify for your hostess gift.
A simple Christmas card using Patterned Pines stamp set, Christmas Cocoa designer paper, and petals a plenty embossing folder, then misted with champaign mist (and rubbing alcohol mixture). All these items will no longer be available January 4th because they are in the current occasions mini catalog. Feel free to browse the catalog and click here to place your last minute order today.
This little squirrel is so cute. The set, called Love Bandits, is in the upcoming mini catalog. As a demonstrator, I receive some awsome perks ... one of the perks is the ability to get the items from the upcoming mini a month early (and at a discount). Click here to find out more about becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I would love to have you on my team!
Here is a sneak peak of the stamp set. It will be available in the new clear mount, as well as the traditional wood mount.
This card has some different colors in it, that were inspired by the Tall Tales Designer paper. The colors are so saffron, old olive and rose red. The new old olive satin ribbon will also in the new catalog.
I just love the items in the new mini catalog that will be available to everyone starting January 5th. The flowers are from the set called Vintage Vogue. For the little "thank you" tag, I used the stamp set called Tiny Tags, and punched it out with a new tag punch, that is attached with a small brad.
I purchased the new sets in the clear mount stamps. I really like them for several reasons ... but the main reason is the storage. They are stored in DVD cases. I'll be able to store soooo many more!! Good thing my husband doesn't read my blog ... LOL.
The recipe is as follows: Cardstock - kraft, soft suede, whisper white, and melon mambo. The designer paper is soft suede designer paper. The ribbon is whisper white taffeta ribbon.
This is what the entire stamp set looks like, along with the tag punch in the new punch style.
If you would like to place a pre-order for this set in wood mount or clear mount, please email me
It's been awhile since I've done any sketch challenges. It was good to get back to them.
This is a Mojo Monday sketch. It gave me another opportunity to share with you more items from the upcoming mini, that will be available January 4. There are three new items used on my card ... a dotted embossing folder, sweet pea designer paper, and bird on a branch punch. How fun! The colors are taken with teal and dusty durango. The stamp set is called Cheep Talk.
The hanging flowers from Garden from the Heart (in the upcoming mini catalog) work perfectly on this little calendar. The stamp is one of the new clear stamps, and they are really slick! I used the cottage wall designer paper and accented it with elegant eggplant ink, ribbon, and cardstock. It is all mounted on a 4 x 4 coaster. I can't wait to show you more in the new mini.
Stop by tomorrow for another sneak peak of more upcoming mini catalog products!
The bride and groom designer specialty paper makes beautiful designer gowns and purses! This is one of the projects we made during a recent girls day out. Everything was melon mambo, black and white. The dress was cut out using the large scallop circle Bigz die and Big Shot. The purse was punched out using the tab punch accented with the word window and a few jewels.

I just love getting new toys. The heart border is done using one of the new punches from the upcoming mini catalog (demonstrator perk). The recipe is elegant eggplant, whisper white, and soft suede. The sentiment is from the All Holidays stamp set, and punched out with the ornament punch ... the punch is in the current mini catalog which ends January 4. This is such a versatile punch (I've used it a lot as vases) and of course, for ornaments.

Starting with the new 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and continuing with all new punch designs going forward, Stampin' Up! has adopted a new body style for our punches!
A few features of the new punch style:
Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog
Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
Larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
I can't wait to show you how cool they really are....which is just one of the advantages of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. We get to preview and purchase upcoming products, at a discounted price, before released to the public.
If you are interested in finding out how you can become a demonstrator, click here or email me. I'd love to have you on my team.
A little daisy to brighten up the day. This daisy flower pot was made in a Girls Day Out, along with other projects in the melon mambo / black motif. I also used the night and day designer paper. The daisy itself uses the daisy #2 Bigz die. The hearts are stamped with the Love You Much stamp set, then punched with the Heart to Heart punch. The flower border and sentiment on the inside is from the Fresh Cuts stamp set. The ribbon is the polka dot melon mambo. The scallop border punch adds a nice contrast just below the ribbon.
Another Stamp-A-Stack card. The cardstock is old olive with chocolate chip and very vanilla. The striped is from Merry Moments designer paper. The stamp sets are dasher in chocolate chip, then covered in dazzling diamond, and the snowflakes from season of joy stamped in real red, also covered in dazzling diamonds. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the four seasons stamp set in the mini. The ribbon is from discontinued SU ribbon.
