Now the details.  Cardstock is night of navy and brushed silver.  The silver embossing is done using the soft holly wheel.  The ornaments are from the Tree Trimmings stamp set, accented with a little silver cord (found in the mini catalog).  The sentiment is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set.

Kiss Medallion

This is one of the techniques we did in a couple of our recent classes.   It's called "kiss".  This card is a CASE (sorry I lost the originator).  The card is on whisper white, with accents of so saffron and bravo burgandy.  The medallion and en francois stamps were used for the image.

Close as a Memory

Unfortunately, this card was needed.  A good friend's dad passed away.  We will also be using this in one of our card ministry classes.  I have been trying make my cards a little more simple, and I'm liking it.  As much as I love all the embellishments, the PO doesn't.  So simple it is.

This card is in really rust, elegant eggplant and very vanilla.  The kraft color is actually discontinued designer paper, but plain kraft would work.  It is punched with the scallop edge punch.  I used the clear 4" circle in elegant eggplant, and embossed it in finial press.  The stamp set is Close as a Memory.

Embrace Life Hostess Gift

This weekend I wanted to give my hostess of a workshop a special gift for her effort in getting together a few of friends for fun time of making a few cards.  A little refrigerator memo corkboard and a candle were just the ticket -- she also received the wonderful hostess gifts in the Stampin' Up! catalog.  The candle was so fun to make (and easy, too).  Within the next few weeks we will be making these in a stamp camp (date to be announced).   The flower is from the stamp set, Embrace Life.

If you would like to get at least 5 of your friends together to hold a workshop in your home or mine, please call me at 262-783-5718 or email me.

Guy Card

There was a request for a guy card for club the other night, and this is what I came up with.  Simple card, but it looks pretty masculine.  The colors are basic gray, black, real red, summer sun, and whisper white.  I used the texture wheel for the background on the red.  The silver is actually duct tape (for heating ducts, not the all-purpose tape).  It's embossed with a new cuddlebug folder (not SU).  The sentiment is from the Birthday Wishes stamp (on the dormant list).

Cold & Cuddly

Gee, it's been a long time since I did a sketch challenge.  This one turned out cute using the stamp set Cold & Cuddly (found in the mini catalog).  I used night of navy, real red, tempting turquoise, and whisper white.  This is not really a Christmas card, but a nice winter card.

The bear is embossed in night of navy, giving him a little texture, and his hat and mug have a bit of dazzling diamonds glitter on it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dasher Decor

I've always liked the Dasher stamp, but did you know it also comes in the decor elements?  This element is actually a level 2 hostess gift that I mounted onto a 16" x 20" frame.  It comes in a choice of colors of chocolate chip, real red, white, and black.  I used the Christmas Cocoa specialty paper (from the mini catalog) as the background, topped with a polka dot bow.

If you are in the Milwaukee/metro area and would like to book a workshop with me so you, too, could earn this beautiful dasher decor element as well as earning free merchandise, email or call me at 262-783-5718.

Hello Baby

Here are a couple of cards for an upcoming workshop.  The guests will be able to choose between pretty in pink or bashful blue.  The little creamy caramel bear is so cute once he is daubered and colored (eyes, mouth, ears, paws).  The "Lil' Paws" bear embosslit can be found in the mini catalog as one of the Build-A-Bear sets.  I added a separate heart punch from the heart to heart punch.  The white was embossed and I used bashful blue designer paper (boy) and retired SU paper for the girl.  The sentiment is from my favorite Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the small and large oval punches.

Mini Corks Boards

Here are a few of the mini cork boards that I sold at the craft fair.  Cute and simple little projects that would be great for a teacher appreciation gift, or just for fun gift.  I made the pins that go on them as well using a by stamping an image and punching it out with a 1/2" circle punch and used crystal effects to attach to a thumb tack covered by a clear glass piece (stones that are used for plants).

The corks are 3" x 3".

Cold & Cuddly Door Hanger

I've been busy getting ready for some upcoming craft fairs.  Gee, they are a lot of work.  The first one was this weekend, and I didn't do too badly.  I also met a bunch of new prospects as well.  So I have to say it was a success.

This is one of the items that I sold.  It's a door hanger using the Cold & Cuddly stamp set from the mini catalog, attached to a band of Not Quite Navy crimped with the crimper.  The outside edges are sponged with bashful blue, and the snowflakes are stamped in bashful blue from the Hostess Level 2 set called Christmas Punch.

Perhaps you would like to earn the set (or others in the catalog).  Simply contact me to hold a workshop, and invite some guests.  We'll make a couple of projects and learn a new technique or to.  If you are in the Milwaukee/Metro area, call or email me to set up a date and time.  We can either hold it at your house or mine.

Holy Triptych

This card is so pretty IRL.  We will be making this in our card ministry club.  I hope the girls don't mind coloring ... I'll have a back up for those who don't.  The cardstock is brocade blue, bashful blue, and whisper white.  The stamp set is Holy Triptych stamped with black Stazon and colored with markers, then run through a Xyron and dazzling diamonds glitter.  The bashful blue layer is embossed with the Petals a Plenty texture folder which can be found in the mini catalog, the daubered with white shimmery paint (also in the mini).  The white oval and blue oval border are run through the Big Shot using the Oval Scallop Frame die, then the frame is stamped with versamark and clear embossed.  The card is topped off with an organza white ribbon.

Soft Holly

I've had the Soft Holly wheel since last year, and I finally pulled it out to use. I had always envisioned it with soft pastels, but I really like this bolder look. The trees are from the SU old standby -- Lovely As A Tree, which are stamped with handsome hunter craft ink and clear embossed. I used red stickles on the holly berries and used the All Holidays stamp set for the Peace, Love, Joy sentiment which is stamped in bravo burgundy and glittered. This card is so much prettier IRL.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Ornament Punch Card

This is a fun little card using the ornament punch from the mini catalog and Holiday Lounge Designer Paper. The cardstock is taken with teal, kraft and whisper white. The gold embossing snowflakes are from the Delightful Decorations stamp, and the sentiment from the Four the Holidays. also in the mini.

Christmas Pinwheel

Here is another pinwheel card. Is used the Cocoa Christmas specialty paper from the mini catalog. The other colors are soft suede and real red. The sentiment is from Four the Holiday's stamp set (also from the mini catalog). The overall card was also sprayed with the champagne gold shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol. It just makes the soft suede really look like suede.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
